Location: Sawston, Cambridge, UK (Hybrid: 3 days per week on site)
Opportunity Type: Six month contract
We’re looking for a Social Video Producer to help us take our social-first video output to the next level on an initial six month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes short-form video for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. You’ll be part of a collaborative and nimble team where your creativity, initiative, and technical know-how will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities:
* Content Creation: Produce high-quality short-form videos tailored for various social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok) for Somersault's clients, and Somersault's marketing and socials.
* Editing and Post-production: Edit video content with an eye for storytelling, pacing, sound design, and platform trends; maintain brand consistency across projects.
* Concept Development: Collaborate with the team and clients to pitch creative ideas for social-first video series and standalone content.
* On-Set Production: Shoot video content on-location or in-studio, with confidence using camera equipment, lighting, and audio tools.
* Platform Expertise: Stay ahead of content trends, algorithm changes, and best practices across relevant social media platforms.
* Client Collaboration: Engage directly with clients where required – from brief to delivery – providing expertise on how to best optimise video for social.
* Asset Management: Ensure organised storage of video files, project assets, and final outputs, following internal file management standards.
Experience Required:
* 2–4 years of hands-on social video production experience.
* Strong portfolio of short-form video work for brands or agencies across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube.
* Proficient in CapCut, Descript or similar, and Adobe Premiere Pro ( are a bonus).
* Confident operating camera, sound and lighting equipment.
* Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and content formats.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
* A proactive, self-starting mindset – you’re excited to try new formats and push creative boundaries.
* Bonus: experience using After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
