This is a forward‑thinking provision designed to: Support children who need a quieter, more emotionally‑attuned learning environment Deliver high‑quality, planned small-group teaching across a bespoke curriculum Strengthen children’s emotional regulation, confidence and readiness to learn Work in close partnership with families and professionals so that each child is nurtured, understood and able to flourish It is rooted in the principles of Nurture UK, relational practice and inclusive education — a space that complements classroom learning and strengthens each child’s long-term success. To help bring this vision to life, we are looking for a skilled, compassionate HLTA to join our team in the Summer Term, so you can help us shape, design and prepare the provision before it opens. About the role Working alongside the Headteacher, SENDCo, Nurture Lead and our NurtureUK-trained colleagues, you will: Help co-create a bespoke model of nurture and small-group teaching tailored to our pupils and community Lead high-quality, structured small-group teaching sessions that close learning gaps and build confidence Support children using nurturing, relational and strengths-based approaches Build warm, trusting partnerships with parents and carers, ensuring communication is open, supportive and collaborative Work closely with external professionals (such as Educational Psychologists, Family Support and Health) to ensure every child receives joined-up support Use assessment tools such as Boxall Profiles and Integration Scales to help plan provision and demonstrate progress Contribute to a provision that champions equity, inclusion and opportunity, particularly for our most disadvantaged pupils We are looking for someone who: Holds HLTA status or has significant relevant experience across primary phases Brings empathy, patience and a deeply child-centred approach Understands nurture principles, relational practice and trauma-informed approaches Can deliver high-quality learning in small groups across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Is confident working with parents and carers, and values their role as partners Can collaborate effectively with colleagues and professionals Wants to help shape a new provision — bringing ideas, creativity and initiative We can offer: A brand-new purpose-built environment, opening September 2026, designed to meet the needs of small-group nurture teaching Dedicated time in the Summer Term to shape routines, curriculum and resources A leadership team deeply committed to belonging, inclusion and unlocking potential CPD including NurtureUK approaches, ELSA, Emotion Coaching and Trauma-Informed Practice A warm, dedicated staff team and a wonderful school community Come and see our school for yourself We would love you to visit and see first‑hand how special our school community is, and the care and thought that sits behind this new provision.
