At David Harber Ltd, we create award‑winning, hand‑crafted sculptures that redefine luxury spaces around the world, from Windsor Castle to New York rooftops to private collections across Asia, Europe and the USA.
Overview
As Design Director, you will be a visionary leader, global ambassador and the head of creative direction for our New, Bespoke and Classic collections. You will inspire a talented team, captivate international audiences, and shape products that are commercially successful and true to the company’s heritage.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full design process from research and ideation to concept, material experimentation and final proposal.
* Own the creative vision for New, Bespoke and Classic product lines, ensuring design continuity and innovation.
* Inspire and mentor a creative team, fostering curiosity, pushing boundaries, and unlocking new potential.
* Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations and Marketing to align on design, production and commercial outcomes.
* Represent the brand globally, speaking at high‑profile design events, CPDs and networking with key stakeholders.
* Travel minimum 6 times per year to represent the brand at international events and client sites.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience in visual, product or industrial design, with extensive senior‑level experience in the luxury sector.
* Strong grasp of historical, classical and contemporary design, and an eye for current trends.
* Excellent communication and networking skills, with proven experience leading and motivating a creative team.
* Comfortable with face‑to‑face client interaction and translating complex briefs into elegant solutions.
* Positive, open approach to collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
