An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Co-ordinator to support a major integration programme within a leading UK higher education institution based in London. This institution has recently undergone a significant merger and is entering a transformative phase to integrate Estates, Facilities, and Environmental services across its campuses.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong commitment to delivering value through procurement, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to support complex, high-impact programmes in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Procurement Act 2023 and/or public sector/Higher education experience is required
The Role
As Procurement Co-ordinator, you will:
* Support the Procurement Category Manager (Estates, Facilities & Environment) on a wide range of tendering and supplier management activities.
* Coordinate procurement functions to ensure compliance, value for money, and efficiency.
* Help maintain supplier records and the contracts register, support low-value tendering and supplier creation, and provide administrative support across integration workstreams.
* Promote compliance with procurement legislation, and the organisation’s values including sustainability, inclusion, and social value.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support an Estates Compliance Improvement Programme (ECIP) central to the integration process.
About You
You should have:
* A degree or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong Excel and general IT skills; familiarity with procurement systems (e.g. SAP, e-tendering portals) is desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
* A commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
* An understanding of procurement processes, particularly within Estates, Facilities or the public sector, is desirable.
