Salary: £33,400 per annum plus £50 per sleep-in allowance
Location: Templeton, Pembrokeshire
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full-time – 37 hours per week

A bit about the role
As a Team Leader Residential, you'll will provide an environment where the young people we support, will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries.
You will support the Registered Manager and other Team Leader in the day to day running of the service and deputise in their absence, whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the children and young people, we support develop to reach their full potential.
In this role your time will be split 50% on shift and 50% office based.

About the service
Ty Hydref is a four bedded children's home based in Templeton, Pembrokeshire, that provides long-term residential care for up to four children & young people who are looked after.
The underpinning philosophy of our children's homes is to support them through a range of needs such as early childhood trauma, attachment disorders, dysregulated behaviours and those who have been subject to various placement breakdowns.
We use various therapeutic approaches such as DDP (Dyadic Development Practice) as well as PACE (Playfulness, Curiosity, Acceptance and Empathy) and by adopting these models, we enable the young people to come to terms with their past and build on the skills needed to achieve the best possible outcomes
How you'll help to create brighter futures
* Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.
* Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
* Preparing for and participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings
* Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
* Leading and assessing staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments.
Let's talk about you
If you have experience as a Team Leader Residential and you're passionate about creating brighter futures, this could be the perfect role for you.
* A L3 Social Care Diploma is essential, and L4 Leadership and Management Qualification is desirable.
* Experience of a senior role in a children's home, residential short breaks or children's services.
* Experience of supporting staff through QCF, AWIF and Induction.
* A sound awareness of the RISCA (Wales) Act 2016, Social Services (Wales) Act 2014 and key H&S Legislation.
Flexibility to work shifts and participate in the on-call rota.
