The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and supporting chefs in various tasks.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced culinary environment while contributing to our commitment to exceptional hospitality and fantastic food.

Duties
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
* Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
* Support cooking staff by ensuring that all necessary tools and ingredients are readily available.
* Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces regularly to uphold health and safety standards.
* Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately to maintain a tidy work environment.
* Help with basic serving duties during busy periods or special events.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a harmonious working atmosphere.
Skills
* Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
* A keen eye for detail to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards.
* Excellent communication skills, contributing to effective teamwork within the kitchen.
* A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn about culinary practices.
* Experience in catering services is a plus but not essential.
The normal working hours for this position are Weds, Thurs, Friday, Saturday: 10-3/4pm. With Holiday cover some Week & Weekend evenings would be required.

Pay: Up to £12.55 per hour
