About The Role
We’re looking for a caring and motivated Healthcare Assistant (Radiology) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy and supportive radiology department, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
You’ll support radiographers, radiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for patients attending for diagnostic procedures. This role offers excellent variety, combining clinical support with administrative duties, and is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within healthcare.
This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours a week, with the following working pattern:
* Monday: 09:00 – 17:00
* Tuesday: 08:00 – 20:00
* Wednesday: 09:00 – 17:00
* Thursday: 08:00 – 19:30
What you’ll be doing
As our HCA, you will be:
* Supporting clinical teams to deliver safe and effective patient care across the radiology department.
* Assisting with basic clinical tasks, investigations and chaperoning patients during procedures such as MRI and ultrasound.
* Preparing clinical areas and equipment to ensure smooth running of clinics.
* Providing reassurance and support to patients, ensuring dignity, respect and comfort at all times.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control within the department.
* Supporting administrative tasks including answering calls, data entry and managing patient records.
* Working collaboratively with teams across theatres, wards and outpatients to support patient pathways.
What we’ll look for in you
With your previous experience of working within a healthcare environment, you will also have:
* A compassionate, patient‑focused approach with strong communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
* Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
* Understanding of infection control and health & safety within healthcare settings.
* A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
