Job Description Were looking for an experienced Mechanical Pump Engineer to join our esteemed, market leading client, specialising in pumping equipment solutions, boasting over sixty years of industry expertise around the Stoke-on-Trent area! Youll work alongside a skilled Electrical Engineer, forming a dynamic duo responsible for addressing breakdowns and delivering top-notch mechanical servicing, installation, and commissioning across a variety of pumping systems. This role is ideal for a mechanically biased engineer with a background in pumping equipment, valves, pipework, drainage, utilities, or water treatment. Flexibility is key, as occasional overnight stays may be required (though infrequent). What youll be doing Perform mechanical servicing, installation, and commissioning of equipment including pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations and kiosks Maintain and monitor equipment for optimal performance Troubleshoot and conduct repairs efficiently Respond to breakdowns and service requests Produce detailed site reports and documentation Comply with all health and safety protocols Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally Maintain and operate a fully stocked company van Hours Monday-Friday, Day Shifts, 40 hours per week (flexibility required) Pay £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) Overtime paid at time 1/3 & time 1/2 Skills/Experience Required Essential Previous experience working with pumps, valves, pipework or similar equipment A valid UK driving licence Preferred Mechanical engineering qualifications A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Treatment, Drainage etc CSCS card First Aid trained Confined Space Training (CSTS) Benefits Company pension (after 3 years company fund employee contribution) Private healthcare Critical illness cover Death in wish service Overtime available Training provided Growing business with opportunities for progression All expenses covered Tools provided Free on-site parking Day shifts No weekends Flexible working Essential All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).
