Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting that supports pupils with a range of complex social, emotional and neurodevelopmental needs.

About the Setting

This specialist environment supports children and young people with:

* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), including profiles such as PDA
* ADHD and Attachment Difficulties
* A range of learning difficulties and associated challenges

All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the provision works closely with families and external professionals to ensure personalised, effective support.

The setting supports children from ages 7 to 16 within a specialist, nurturing environment designed for those requiring additional emotional, behavioural, or developmental support.

What You'll Do

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

* Building trusting, consistent and emotionally safe relationships with pupils, recognising this as the foundation for learning.
* Supporting pupils through personalised learning approaches tailored to their unique strengths, needs, and preferred ways of engaging.
* Implementing strategies to help students regulate, communicate, and develop positive learning behaviours.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
* Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, understood, and able to thrive.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who are:

Nurturing & Relationship‑Focused

You understand that emotional safety, consistency, and trust are essential for pupils with SEMH and neurodevelopmental needs.

Resilient & Compassionate

You remain calm under pressure and approach challenges with patience, empathy, and positivity.

Adaptable & Creative

You can tailor support to the individual—recognising that every pupil is unique, learns differently, and deserves personalised approaches.

Collaborative

You value teamwork and believe in working closely with families and professionals to ensure the best outcomes.

Committed to Inclusive Practice

You believe every child has the right to reach their full potential and are dedicated to removing barriers to learning.

Why Join Us?

* A warm, supportive team passionate about improving life chances for vulnerable young people
* Specialist training in areas such as trauma-informed practice, autism, SEMH, PDA and behaviour support
* Opportunities for professional development within a highly focused and expert environment
