Overview
An opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our busy Facilities Team at Blossomwood working as a Facilities Assistant in our Portering Department.
Previous experience of working as a Porter in a Hospital environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Key Responsibilities
* Working in our main stores, delivering and collecting items from around the hospital, linen, waste, goods, property, deliver food trolleys to all wards.
* Assisting with office or ward relocations, waste management
Core Hours: Between 08:00 - 17:00
Working shifts up to 5 days over 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays). Shift pattern will be discussed at the interview

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. DBS Check
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
