A role is available to support safety, health, environment and quality across fibre build teams. The role will help shape a positive culture, support safe ways of working, reduce harm, improve health, prevent damage to services, and support safer driving.
The role will guide how teams build networks, support a right-first-time approach, help fix problems, support better ways of working, and help teams improve over time.
The role will support care for the environment, help reduce carbon, support better performance, raise standards, control risk and introduce better ways of working.
The role will support safe work near homes and businesses, manage risk, support right controls, and protect people and property.
A NEBOSH qualification is needed. Experience in telecoms or utilities is needed.
What you'll bring
* You will bring a strong background in health, safety, environment and quality. You will have worked in this field for several years and gained experience in telecoms or utilities. You will understand how to manage risk and support safe ways of working. You will be used to working with teams and helping them improve how they work.
* You will hold a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate. You may be working towards a NEBOSH Diploma. You may also hold a management qualification.
* You will be a Certified Member of IOSH or working towards this. You may be aiming for Chartered Membership or hold an equivalent grade with another professional body.
* You will have at least seven years of experience after gaining your health and safety qualification. You will have used this time to build your knowledge and apply it in real settings. You will understand how to support others and help them follow the right steps.
