But this role goes far beyond the building – you’ll be shaping how the hospital runs, with the opportunity to influence processes, workflows and the future direction of the service. The role This is a role that combines hands-on nursing with strategic leadership and team development, supporting complex and intensive care cases while also leading your team to excel. Your responsibilities will include: Taking the lead on ward rounds, handovers, and infection control, creating a safe, organised, and high-quality clinical environment. Inspiring, mentoring, and developing nursing teams through coaching, training, CPD, and regular feedback, helping people do their best work. Working closely with clinicians, nurses, and PCAs to keep patients moving smoothly through the hospital and ensure care plans are delivered effectively. Getting involved in hospital projects, quality improvements, and accreditation work, contributing to how the hospital continues to grow and improve. Being the key point of support for clients, championing clear, compassionate communication and helping the wider team deliver an excellent client experience.
