Job Title: Internal Controls Analyst
Location: Cambridge or London (hybrid)

The Job:
We are seeking an Internal Controls Analyst to support our internal control programme. AVEVA is working through a transformation programme, moving towards dual reporting (IFRS and US GAAP) and ensuring our current controls framework meets Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This role will play a critical part in that journey.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform global scoping assessments
2. Coordinate and manage the organisation and preparation of walkthroughs
3. Perform internal control testing to meet the design and operating effectiveness requirements of SOX
4. Work with colleagues from international locations and our co-source partner to ensure the global and consistent approach of control design and testing is applied throughout the organisation
5. Collaborate with the GPOs team to ensure global processes and controls are consistently applied across the different regions
6. Work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation including – global members of the internal control team, business owners, finance, IT, Internal Audit, Global Process Owners
7. Ensure evidence supporting critical controls has been retained and uploaded to the appropriate system
8. Identify and report concerns relating to the design and operation of controls
9. Help prepare status and audit finding reports
10. Help manage the relationship with Internal Audit
11. Help manage the requirements of the External Audit team including evidence collation
12. Help management the requirements of our co-source partner including evidence collation
Skills & Qualifications:
13. Experience of working in an audit function, either in Internal Audit, External Audit or Controls function
14. Experience of testing SOX controls, with understanding of latest PCAOB requirements
15. Strong understanding of testing and sampling methodology
16. Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
17. Qualification by relevant governing body (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
18. Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders
19. Strong organisational skills
20. Collaborative approach, with strong multi-cultural empathy
21. Excellent communication, both written and verbal
22. Positive attitude and comfortable managing ambiguity and conflicting priorities
23. Confident, motivated and self-starter
24. High professional ethics and commitment to improving risk culture
25. Proficient with Excel/Power BI/data scripting/querying
26. Experience of US GAAP accounting standards
27. Previous experience of working with Oracle
28. Experience of driving automation/data analytics/AI in testing

Hybrid working
