TeamConsulting is offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Contracts Manager to join our commercial team. Our Commercial team is headed by our Commercial Director, and this role reports to the Head of Contracts. The Contracts team, though small, plays a vital role within the Commercial department and wider business, using their knowledge and experience to successfully conclude contracts with our extensive portfolio of clients and suppliers. Their early involvement with clients is key in establishing strong contractual relationships. They consistently deliver a high level of service, ensuring contractual rigour, professionalism, and pride in their work. The team has an exciting breadth of clients, ranging from start-ups to some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and Med-Tech companies. For each client, we negotiate and comply with bespoke framework agreements for the supply of services. The variety of clients and suppliers evolves as the team develops into new sectors, providing opportunities for new learning and challenges. You will work closely with colleagues across the business and, where required, with external legal counsel. In this varied and stimulating role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Leading and supporting new contracts and negotiations, which range in complexity and challenge, including: Master Service Agreements (overarching contractual clauses) Task Order/Statement of Work (details the services to be performed) Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements (CDAs/NDAs) Associate Framework Agreements Intellectual Property Agreements Providing legal support, training, and awareness to the Commercial department and the business. Maintaining contracts with existing clients and suppliers, serving as the point of contact. Qualifications & Skills Degree qualification or equivalent Experience in negotiating and managing contracts within a service organization Sound understanding of contract law Good understanding of GDPR principles Comprehensive knowledge of commercial risk Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and coordinating efforts inside and outside the team Excellent numeracy and literacy skills Previous in-house experience Experience managing contracts in a technology consulting organization Experience working in a product development environment Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry Awareness of IR35 legislation Personal Qualities Building trusting, effective, and lasting relationships with colleagues at all levels Ability to influence decisions within the company and with external contracting parties Resourcefulness and responsibility for own tasks Attention to detail Calmness under pressure Integrity and honesty at all times Respect for others’ opinions and contributions, supportive of colleagues Self-awareness of limitations and knowing when to seek help
