The CFCD CBRS Grade 7 (G7) leads the Directorate’s approach to ensuring compliance with Security, Data, and Information requirements. They lead responses to Briefings and requests for FOIs and other departmental inquiries through a Briefing Hatch function, identify and mitigate key CFCD risks, and ensure effective controls are in place to maintain security.
Leading a small team, the G7 works collaboratively with team members, making teamwork a key aspect of the role.
The G7 is responsible for delivering core functions including:
* Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate CFCD Risks, in line with the DWP Risk Management Framework, and providing narratives in collaboration with CFCD Business areas that feed into the DWP Services and Fraud Risk Plan.
* Reporting on risks and mitigation activities to inform Performance Risk and Deployment Board and executive decision-making.
* Integrating risk awareness and practices into daily business activities.
* Working closely with fraud, error, and debt (FED) Policy and CFCD Functional areas to respond effectively to briefings via the CFCD Briefing Hatch function, ensuring timely responses.
* Evolving the Briefing Hatch function to meet increasing FOI requests and changing briefing requirements.
* Collaborating with DWP Security and Information Management to ensure compliance, manage risks, and develop improvement plans.
* Delivering a programme of Security, Data, and Information awareness to promote ongoing compliance.
* Developing and managing the CFCD Business Continuity Plan within the DWP Business Continuity and Resilience framework.
* Coordinating activities across CFCD to ensure Business Continuity Plans are in place and tested.
* Supporting and maintaining access to small-scale portals and establishing new processes as needed.
* Supporting the DWP ID Badging Process to assist colleagues requiring identification when visiting customers.
Note: Due to the geographically dispersed nature of this team, frequent travel and overnight stays are required.
