As HR Advisor, you will provide high quality HR support, guidance and advice to line managers on all ER related matters and train line managers in the application of HR policies, procedures and processes. Please note this role is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months. You will support the Senior HR Advisor and HR Services Manager in delivering exceptional HR advisory services and collaborate with the People Team and other functions across HC-One. Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Providing high quality HR advice and guidance to facilitate early resolution of employee relations (ER) issues, managing associated risks effectively.
2. Managing ER cases such as conduct, performance management, grievance/whistleblowing, absence management, and other complex cases from initial contact to resolution, coaching line managers and investigating officers.
3. Escalating complex ER cases to the Senior HR Advisor or HR Manager for ongoing support.
4. Ensuring advice is timely and within SLA, provided by the appropriate personnel.
5. Identifying and reporting themes and trends from case work and queries to senior management.
6. Providing HR Policy and Procedure training to line managers.
7. Supporting strategic HR projects across the employee lifecycle.
8. Sharing HR knowledge within the team to ensure consistency and growth.
9. Maintaining high standards of customer service, prioritizing the colleague experience.
10. Keeping accurate records of HR cases and queries, ensuring proper documentation.
11. Contributing to the update and improvement of HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation.
12. Engaging in continuous professional development regarding employment law, case law, legislation, and best practices.
13. Meeting all personal and departmental deadlines.
14. Promoting a professional image of HC-One at all times.
Qualified to CIPD Level 3 or with at least 3 years' experience managing high volumes of ER cases, with a minimum of 2 years' experience handling ER matters confidently and sensitively, with a sound knowledge of GDPR. You should have a commercially focused approach, up-to-date employment law knowledge, and experience interpreting policies to provide pragmatic solutions. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and IT literacy are essential. You must be able to analyze management information and support safeguarding practices, recognizing signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and knowing how to escalate concerns.
