The role will include managing the following areas; Support to Pupils and staff; Provide pupil user support in relation to the IT systems in conjunction with teaching staff. Produce support and instructional documentation for staff and students as appropriate. To support teaching staff in the general running of the ICT rooms to ensure lessons are efficiently and effectively serviced. Line Management; May involve line management responsibility of staff. May Involve undertaking training/mentoring of staff. Support for ICT Systems; Setup, manage and maintain user accounts Setup, manage and maintain staff and student user shared areas Provide technical support for the school’s management system. Manage, software installations, hardware maintenance, upgrades, fault diagnosis and repair, security measures and back-up schedule. Design and implement network infrastructure to meet the school’s requirements Managing active network components including switches routers, access points, printers, Setup manage and maintain servers and upgrade network operating systems. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all ICT equipment and software in the school. Maintain the schools AV systems. Support for Resources; Supervise loans of ICT/AV equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained and stored safely. Observe and report any damage or conditions of equipment which need attention. Remove any equipment which presents a health and safety risk. To keep abreast of, and conversant with, all relevant legislation, technological developments and techniques.
