As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Asset Management and Wealth, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities
* Collaborate with other software engineers and teams to design and implement deployment approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
* Contribute to designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions for availability, reliability, scalability, and self-healing of applications with minimal refactoring.
* Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
* Work with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex problems.
* Monitor service level indicators and use service level objectives to proactively resolve issues.
* Participate in 24x7 support coverage as needed, leading during incidents.
* Engage with the Technology Controls organization to ensure tooling and ecosystems meet cyber policies.
* Coach team members, promote skill acquisition, and be accountable for specific software outcomes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
This role requires a broad set of skills, including:
* Formal training or certification in software development concepts and advanced experience.
* Passion for automation, excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a can-do attitude.
* Hands-on experience with large-scale software development in Java, Python, Node.js, React, or scripting.
* Experience supporting highly available production systems in cloud environments like AWS, with DevOps and SRE practices.
* Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.
* Experience with GIT, BitBucket, Jenkins, SONAR, Maven, CI/CD tools, Linux, Solaris, relational and non-SQL databases, Kafka, load balancing, IP, DNS.
* Experience with incident and release management, RCA/Postmortem practices.
* Strong collaboration skills across high-performing teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and business audiences.
* Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic, global environment.
Additional qualifications
* Exposure to Docker and container technologies.
* Knowledge of asset management concepts.
* Monitoring and managing plant capacity and reporting.
* Experience with low latency environments and tuning.
* Understanding of connectivity and exchange protocols.
* Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
