Salary: GBP 57,728.20 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Occupational Therapist to work at an exceptional private mental health hospital in Hassocks, West Sussex. You will join one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
This specialist hospital provides care for individuals with mental illnesses and personality disorders. Facilities include a male acute service, high dependency units for males and females, a female low secure unit, and a specialist personality disorder unit.
Requirements:
* Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the effective operation of the Occupational Therapy Service on a daily basis, in line with contact targets
* Leading planning and delivery of multidisciplinary therapeutic patient activity programmes
* Providing clinical support and supervision to the occupational therapy team
* Delivering evidence-based clinical interventions to promote patient recovery and wellbeing through occupational engagement
* Collaborating with external agencies to maintain community links and social inclusion programs, such as Koestler Trust and community art festivals
* Contributing to the strategic development of the service in accordance with CQC standards, governance, and professional agendas, with the Regional Head Occupational Therapist
* Maintaining a clinical caseload
Preferred skills and experience:
* Supervisory or line management experience
* Excellent communication skills, with effective prioritisation and time management
* Experience leading individual and group therapy sessions
* At least 3 years’ experience in mental health, preferably in an inpatient setting
