Job Details
 * Contract type: Permanent
 * Hours: 33.67 hours per week, Term Time only – 39 weeks per year
 * Salary: Grade 5 £22,791 – £24,842 + Senior Allowance pro‑rata
Key Responsibilities
The role of the Learning Facilitator is key to the success of our school. Working closely under the guidance of teaching staff you will work with individuals and groups of pupils in or out of the classroom, including the provision of detailed and specialist skills/knowledge in particular areas.
 * Assist the teacher in the whole planning cycle.
 * Supervise whole classes or groups during short‑term absences of teachers.
 * Help pupils strive for success, overcome personal challenges, and achieve their potential.
Key Requirements
 * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
 * Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Award / certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
 * Very good numeracy and literacy skills.
 * Training and accreditation in relevant specialist areas beneficial to the school (e.g., science, maths, bilingual, SEND, behaviour).
Skills & Experience
 * Demonstrable experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
 * Working knowledge of the national curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies.
 * Understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes.
 * Experience supporting teaching staff in the development and education of pupils, including provision of specialist skills and knowledge.
