Programmes Support Officer

Role Overview & Key Details
* Salary: £24,500
* Hours: 37.5 per week
* Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
* Reports to: UK Director | Chair of Programmes Committee
The Programmes Support Officer has the responsibility for supporting operations, promoting quality, learning, and ensuring effective delivery of projects and programmes in compliance with internationally recognised standards and individual donor expectations on a day-to-day basis. The individual will work closely with staff and stakeholders in providing strong grant management with partner organisations worldwide ensuring timely reporting, accountability, and assisting to support specific donor needs.
You will be a dynamic, ambitious and solutions focused individual who proactively supports the growth for international programmes in our identity as a Muslim organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Operations
* Support the quality and timely delivery of programmes, in particular our humanitarian offer inclusive of individual donor reporting through strong grant and project management for individual donors.
* Support partners to fulfil our strategic programmatic priorities by way of robust Grant Management processes and one to one donor requirements.
* Support the operationalisation of agreed practices, protocols and standards to ensure the delivery of programmes, focussed on achieving sector standards in context of country and environment.
* Develop, build and maintain effective systems for sound record keeping specific to programme grants including data sets for impact measurement specifically around construction projects.
* Support the development of processes, tools and templates and effectively utilise them in day-to-day work i.e. due diligence, funding agreements, reporting forms etc.
* Request proposals, review and provide desk review summaries to management for decision making.
* Be willing and available to support and lead volunteer deployment trips across Asia, Middle East & Africa.
Programme Quality, Monitoring & Evaluation
* Support a learning culture cutting across programmes and partners that captures and shares lessons from its work and those of others to improve internal performance and inform the work of external actors.
* Ensure effective record keeping and story catching.
* Ensure suitable third-party assessments on agreed projects.
Team and Stakeholder Management
* Ensure a proactive approach in providing information, for promotional and fundraising purposes and for accountability to our donors.
* Provide written reports and presentations to management and external parties where requested.
Other
* Maintain and store all records to organisational policy expectations.
* Comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
* Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Graduate in related field - Desirable
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience and an understanding of Muslim Charity - Desirable
* Experience of promoting effective partnerships - Desirable
* Contemporary understanding of issues and challenges facing humanitarian organisations - Desirable
* Previous experience of managing large teams including distance management - Desirable
* A track record of promoting learning and capacity building - Desirable
