East Kent Colleges Group are seeking a Head of Department to join the Group with EKC Training. As a Head of Apprenticeships, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of Apprenticeship Programmes, promoting high standards in a positive and supportive culture that aspires to be outstanding.
In the role of Head of Department your responsibilities will also include being responsible for the quality of programme provision, actively encouraging excellence in teaching, and effectively managing a delegated budget.

About You
We seek an experienced, innovative, and proactive individual to join our management team to shape the future of the department. You will ensure that curriculum delivery is of the highest quality, with the necessary support in place to help all learners thrive in our dynamic teaching and learning environment.
You will bring a track record and genuine passion for raising standards, with a can-do attitude to inspire your team. Up-to-date industry knowledge and a good understanding of current practices are essential. A commitment to excellence, strategic understanding, and a focus on delivery are also required.
To be successful, you should ideally hold a degree-level qualification and a recognised teaching qualification (DET/PGCE/CertEd). Demonstrable teaching or assessing practice at good or outstanding level, experience in curriculum planning and development, and the ability to manage and lead a professional team are essential.
