Together, we're shaping brighter futures â for you, for our communities, and for our world.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nThis role is based on our flagship NATS contract, supporting one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure in the UK.\n\nNATS is the UK's leading provider of air traffic control services, managing around 2.4 million flights and 250 million passengers in UK airspace every year. Their teams keep aircraft moving safely and efficiently across the country and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.\n\n As part of Mitie's integrated facilities management team, you'll be working on a high-profile, safety-critical site where precision, reliability and teamwork truly matter. The environment is professional, fast-paced and purpose-driven, supporting technology and systems that help guide aircraft through UK controlled airspace.\n\nThis is not a typical commercial building. It is a secure, operational environment where your work directly supports essential national infrastructure. From maintaining electrical systems that power control rooms to ensuring compliance with rigorous HSEQ standards, you'll gain experience in a setting where excellence is the baseline.\n\nFor an apprentice, it is an incredible opportunity to develop your skills on a technically complex site, alongside experienced engineers who understand the importance of getting it right first time.\n\nHere's a glimpse of what your journey could include:\n\nDeveloping core skills and knowledge to install, maintain and repair electrical systems.\nAssisting with planned routine maintenance as well as reactive repair tasks.\nCollaborating with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience.\nEnsuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, making safety and sustainability a priority in every task. As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto an Electrical Installation - SCQF Level 7 qualification which normally runs for 4 years. You will be fully supported by our partnered to achieve this qualification by having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.\n\nOur dedicated Apprenticeship Team will support you every step of the way, helping you make the most of your opportunities and to achieve the goals you already have â and those you have yet to discover!
