We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedBand 7 Occupational Therapistto join our NHS client in Prescot, Merseyside. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex physical, cognitive, or mental health needs.
* Lead and coordinate occupational therapy services within a multidisciplinary team.
* Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Supervise and support junior staff, students, and assistants.
* Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and relevant legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Substantial post-qualification experience, including in a senior or specialist role
* Proven leadership and supervisory skills
* Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational abilities
* Experience in service development and multidisciplinary collaboration
