As the founding school of Solent Academies Trust, Mary Rose is a consistently 'Outstanding' Academy which caters for pupils aged All pupils attending Mary Rose have profound or severe learning difficulties alongside a diverse range of diagnoses and needs, including Autism and highly complex medical conditions.
We are seeking a teacher who cares passionately about the education and wellbeing of pupils with special educational needs and their families.
We will provide high quality coaching, support and professional development. You will have the opportunity to be innovative, creative and have fun, whilst making a real difference to the lives of our pupils who face significant challenges in their learning and development.

Mary Rose School is a community special school and specialist Sports College for 120 pupils aged 2-19yrs which opened in September 2006, situated in inner city Portsmouth, Hampshire. The school is an amalgamation of two special schools, Futcher School and East Shore School. We moved into new purpose built accommodation at the end of February 2007.
Mary Rose School caters predominantly for pupils with severe and complex learning disabilities, in addition to their learning disabilities many pupils have additional needs associated with physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder and medical conditions. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Need and can join the school at any point in their career
