We are currently looking for an individual to come join our team at our Mount Chambers Branch in Braintree as a Counter Assistant. We are recruiting for 17 hours per week covering Monday to Friday.
Monday 08:30 to 14:00
Tuesday 08:30 to 18:30
Wednesday 08:30 to 14:00
Thursday Off
Friday- Off
You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service and support in a busy community pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines and health advice (within your level of training)
* Processing sales and handling prescriptions efficiently
* Supporting the pharmacist with daily dispensary and stock management tasks
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional counter and retail area
* Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with pharmacy regulations
You may be required to deliver healthcare advice and signpost customers where necessary.

Personal specification - Ideally, we are looking for someone with the following:
Essential:
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
* Willingness to learn and undertake relevant pharmacy training
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
* Knowledge of over-the-counter medicines and health products
* Medicine Counter Course in Pharmacy Services or willingness to work towards it - Company funded
* Dynamic and extremely organised, good attention to detail and high levels of concentration.
* Dedicated to the customer experience and customer care.
* High levels of literacy and numeracy are essential.
