Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 USD per year

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site, Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, West Bethesda MD, performing finite element modeling and analysis in structural dynamics and vibration as applied to Navy platforms. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Perform finite element modeling and analysis of Naval systems and components
* Analyze and evaluate the acoustic behavior of Navy vessels and test articles
* Design and evaluate acoustics signature mitigation techniques
* Produce technical documents and reports
Education & Experience Requirements
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)
* Advanced degree preferred
* 2-3 years of finite element modeling experience desired
Skills & Abilities Requirements
Candidates must have the ability to apply scientific methodology to engineering problems, be self-starters, and eager to learn. We seek applicants with high technical curiosity and the ability to work independently.
* Understanding of structural dynamics and vibration
* Understanding of acoustic signatures
* Ability to perform finite element modeling and analysis
* Ability to write automation scripts using MATLAB
* Familiarity with finite element analysis software such as Abaqus
* Familiarity with mesh generation tools like HyperMesh
Other Requirements
Candidate must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a security clearance. A current background investigation is a plus.
