Offer description

We are looking to recruit caring and dependable individuals to join a home care team supporting a 6-year-old boy with complex medical and care needs. These waking night roles involve providing dedicated one-to-one support within the child’s family home, helping ensure his comfort, safety and wellbeing overnight.

This young boy is extremely sociable and has a bright and happy personality. He enjoys music, sensory activities, movement-based play and time outdoors. Although he does not use verbal communication, he successfully interacts using eye-gaze technology and forms strong connections with those around him.

He lives with his parents and sibling in a warm and welcoming family environment which operates a strict non-smoking policy. The family maintains a positive working relationship with the support team and values consistency and trust within care provision.

About the Child’s Needs

The child has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, epilepsy and dyskinesia. He is a wheelchair user and receives a blended diet through gastrostomy feeding. He requires full assistance from carers for his clinical, personal care and day‑to‑day living requirements.

Support workers play an important role in assisting with rehabilitation programmes designed by therapists and healthcare professionals, as well as helping maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
