One of our clients, a well-established engineering and maintenance services provider, is looking to expand their team with a Team Leader - Panel Wiring based in St Helens. They operate across multiple industrial sectors and are known for delivering high-quality, safety-focused solutions.
Your new role
As a Team Leader - Panel Wiring, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of wirepersons and ensuring the successful delivery of electrical control panel assembly projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and coordinating a team of panel wirepersons to meet production targets and quality standards.
* Providing hands-on support with wiring, mechanical assembly, and component fitting within electrical control cabinets and systems.
* Interpreting and working from circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and mechanical drawings.
* Collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting lean manufacturing practices.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience in electrical panel wiring and assembly, ideally in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
* Excellent understanding of technical drawings, wiring schematics, and control panel systems.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Familiarity with 5S/Lean manufacturing principles and a focus on achieving KPIs.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
