We have a great opportunity for an experienced & motivated Account Executive with a general Commercial background, to join us here at Jensten Group. You'll be based at our Cheadle Hulme office, and we offer hybrid working for flexibility. The main purpose of the role is to retain and grow an existing book of business for the surrounding areas, focusing on growth. The book comprises long-standing clients with strong relationships. You will work closely with a team of dedicated Account Handlers who will support you to achieve desired outcomes. Some key objectives & responsibilities include:
* Offering and presenting insurance solutions, including policies and risk management, to secure renewals and new business, while maintaining regular communication with colleagues and managers.
* Identifying and pursuing cross-selling, up-selling, and other growth opportunities using all leads provided and developing new strategies to increase quote volume.
* Achieving or exceeding targets for Quotes/Sales/Income from various marketing sources, including personal prospecting.
* Understanding clients' business operations, opportunities, risks, and risk management approaches.
* Ensuring compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations such as FCA.
About you
As an Account Executive, you'll inherit existing clients and develop your own connections. You should be able to build and strengthen relationships through client visits and regular communication. A passion for providing solutions and spotting opportunities to benefit clients is essential. You will also have:
* Experience in the insurance industry, especially in Commercial insurance.
* A passion for new business development.
* An existing client base to help grow the book (preferred).
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Great telephone manner and ability to network and build relationships.
* Drive and a genuine desire to learn and develop in insurance and sales.
* Previous experience in a similar role working with insurers and clients.
* Good attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, including updating systems and admin.
* Knowledge of Acturis system (advantageous).
