Senior Project Manager – Substation Projects (Distribution Level)
A leading engineering services provider within the energy and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple projects within an established client framework. This role sits within the organisation’s substation delivery function and will report to a senior framework lead.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage site-specific health and safety documentation
* Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 across all active projects
* Oversee staffing, training, and material procurement, ensuring all certifications are current
* Manage project programmes and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
* Liaise with clients, contractors, internal teams, and senior stakeholders
* Handle contract scope changes, variations, and associated documentation
* Support tender development, including pricing submissions
* Collate project KPIs and performance metrics
* Work closely with the internal SHEQ team on site audits, accident investigations, and safety reviews
Qualifications & Experience:
* IOSH Managing Safely certification
* SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme)
* Demonstrated experience working with FIDIC contracts
* Background managing projects in distribution-level substations (up to 132kV)
* Familiarity with client-specific safety and operational standards
* Existing client authorisations or the ability to gain them
* Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
* Proven ability to manage financial records and multi-project portfolios
