Specific Responsibilities of the Job
Lead and manage the client’s capability to ensure robust system stability and development of a fit‑for‑purpose support strategy
Monitor and report on performance and progress against the IT strategy and operational performance, producing monthly performance reports to various boards
Plan, organise, and manage operations and employees to ensure stable operation and resilience of the organisation’s IT infrastructure
Ensure delivery of the design, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of the network, server, telephony and desktop infrastructures
Lead the team to ensure excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
Lead the budget‑setting process for IT and ensure financial implications are considered for all initiatives
Provide expertise in development methodology and service delivery
Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/regulations at all times
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent team management and leadership skills with experience of managing a department of at least circa 30 staff
Significant vendor and supplier management experience
Excellent analytical, numerate skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan and prioritise and work to tight timelines
Effective decision‑making capability
Advantageous if applicants have a Software Development background
