Job Opportunity – Self-Employed Carer
We are seeking a kind, dedicated, and self-motivated Carer to join our small and supportive team in Wokingham and surrounding areas.
In this role, you will provide essential home care services that support individuals in maintaining their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. You’ll be part of a team that truly values compassion, respect, and high-quality care.
About the Role
As a Carer, you will assist clients with a variety of daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and mobility assistance. You’ll also offer companionship and emotional support, helping to create a positive and reassuring environment. Working closely with families and healthcare professionals, you will follow and contribute to personalised care plans. Additional responsibilities may include driving clients to appointments or social outings, as well as maintaining accurate care records.
Due to the nature of this work, this role includes alternating weekend work, which will be scheduled in advance as part of a shared rota.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with previous caregiving experience, but this is not essential as full training will be provided. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and eager to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are important. Basic IT knowledge is a plus for record keeping, and a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle is preferred, as travel between client homes will be required.
