As a Design Manager within our Major Projects community, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of major projects, bringing together skillsets from multiple disciplines. You will oversee all aspects of delivery, holding roles that may include delivery of design & build projects, detailed design delivery and owners engineer services – all requiring complex multi-disciplinary collaboration both internally and externally.
You will also identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client and other partner organisations, plan technical delivery, and lead multidisciplinary teams. You will lead the team to deliver best value and client service excellence, with access to Stantec’s world‑class expertise.
About You
You will have prior experience of working in a role where you provided design leadership on major projects – either as a Design Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Project Leader. You will most likely be from a technical background – either technical engineering, construction management, environmental or other consulting backgrounds.
You will hold qualifications in engineering or project management with an understanding of large and complex construction / engineering projects – in particular within the water or related infrastructure sectors.
Through your previous roles you have achieved a position of trusted partner with clients and other stakeholders, and acted as a mentor for less experienced team members. You support, promote and maintain our company values, especially ensuring we put our people & clients first.
