Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an elderly care client to recruit a Clinical Training Manager (RGN).
This pivotal role involves developing, planning, delivering, and reviewing high-quality clinical, statutory, mandatory, and advanced training solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensure all new clinical colleagues receive consistent training and assessment of clinical skills.
2. Provide preparatory programmes to support overseas nurses before their Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE), aligned with NMC expectations.
3. Collaborate with your Line Manager to design and deliver comprehensive nurse induction programmes at all levels.
4. Support the implementation of the Care Home Assistant Practitioner Programme through training, assessment, and evaluation.
5. Ensure all clinical training adheres to evidence-based practices as per the Clinical Governance policy.
Key Requirements:
1. Deliver clinical training as required and coordinate external training providers when necessary.
2. Provide training in real and simulated environments where appropriate.
3. Assess colleagues' clinical competence post-training to ensure proper application of knowledge.
4. Offer clinical skills training to relevant colleagues using evidence-based practices.
5. Support nurses in their Revalidation process through signposting and mentorship.
6. Coach and mentor colleagues to transfer knowledge from training to practice.
7. Evaluate training effectiveness by measuring the transfer of theory to safe, effective practice and impact on care delivery.
8. Promote awareness and compliance with group operational policies and procedures.
