Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of certified, high-value components.
* Execute all component handling strictly according to company standards and regulatory bodies.
* Accurately enter and manage inventory records within the ERP or stock control system.
* Prepare comprehensive shipping documentation and manage customs clearance for international logistics.
* Liaise with freight forwarders and internal teams to coordinate domestic and international component transport.
* Ensure all goods are handled, stored, and packaged to meet stringent aviation and safety requirements.
* Apply and maintain all required quality and traceability documentation for certified parts.
* Act as a key contact for suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments regarding delivery status.
* Actively participate in cycle counts and stock audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
* Support and contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on logistics efficiency and cost control.
The successful candidate will have:
* Prior background in a warehouse, stores, or logistics role and competent user of stock management or ERP system.
* Strong focus on attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
* Good working knowledge of shipping and logistics processes (including import/export)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Essential availability on a rota basis to support time-critical, out-of-hours logistical requirements.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in the aviation or aerospace sector.
* Familiarity with airworthiness forms (e.g., EASA Form 1, FAA 8130).
* Knowledge of export control, customs, or Dangerous Goods (IATA) rules.
* Holding a current Forklift licence and/or IATA Dangerous Goods training.
