We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering and eager to work within a dynamic production environment. As part of our team, you will operate and maintain CNC machines, ensuring top-quality results while fostering a collaborative and safe workplace. What do we offer? Starting salary of £14.28 (plus shift allowance) 33 days Annual leave that increases with service Company Sick Pay Scheme Full Employee Assistance Programme & Cash Health Plan Salary Sacrificed Pension EV and Cycle to Work Scheme Key Responsibilities: CNC Milling & Grinding Operations Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling and grinding machines according to production specifications and safety standards. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining. Perform regular equipment checks, troubleshooting, and basic preventative maintenance. Maintain precise documentation for production runs and completed parts. Closely collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining challenges. Understand Inspection techniques and CMM Reports Ability to work to targets Able to adhere to Safety Protocols, wearing PPE and ensuring a safe work environment for themselves and others around them. Conduct quality checks on products and materials to ensure they meet specified standard Handle and move materials, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products. Essential Skills For CNC Operator Success Safety Consciousness Attention to Detail Problem- Solving Skills Mechanical Aptitude Ability to following technical instructions Teamwork Adaptability Willingness to learn Required Personal Traits in Precision Engineering Committed: Demonstrates dedication to quality, continuous improvement, and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment. Responsible: Takes ownership of tasks, ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity are consistently met. Social: Communicates effectively and contributes positively within a diverse team setting. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience operating CNC milling and grinding equipment preferred. Familiarity with the specific type of machinery, CNC, CMM, Multi Axis, Cap drill, EDM, is an advantage Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to workplace challenges. Relevant vocational, technical, or apprenticeship background beneficial. Experience in conducting routine maintenance tasks on machinery is preferred Troubleshooting experience to address minor machine issues.
