Role Overview
A part‑time (30 hours) permanent Scheme Support Officer position in an accommodation‑based support service in Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent. The role involves predominantly working waking night shifts. You will work as part of a team of Scheme Support Officers, Lead Project Workers, Project Workers and an Accommodation Coordinator to provide 24/7 support to vulnerable individuals, couples and families, helping them develop key skills to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, promote resettlement into the community and achieve positive progression. You will provide housing‑related support to equip customers with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to live independent lives.
Responsibilities
* Connect with our 22 customers and their families.
* Provide considerate responses to incidents with the support of an on‑call Manager.
* Capture conversations and update records.
* Provide a positive environment for customers to live.
* Complete reasonable requests from the scheme's Manager and Lead Project Workers.
* Liaise with emergency services and the duty team.
* Perform cleaning tasks and ensure efficient room turnovers to maintain a high standard of service.

* Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people.

* Enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people's lives.
* Strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
* Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
Compensation & Schedule
* £25,877.80 FTE.
* Shift pattern with a 4‑week rolling rota: primarily waking nights, with some flexibility.
