The Senior Designer for Design Systems plays a critical role in delivering consistent, accessible, and scalable experiences that accelerate product development and reinforce a unified approach to “How it’s all Flexera.” We seek an experienced designer to join our UX team and help advance our visual language and design system. Operating as a reliable, self‑directed practitioner, this role will be part of a small, dedicated design system team who collaborate with UX designers, product management, and engineering to promote alignment with our design system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner in driving the creation and maintenance of reusable components, patterns, and documentation in Figma, ensuring alignment with Flexera’s brand and accessibility standards.
2. Set standards for visual design and execution across our products to deliver a world-class user experience.
3. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to deliver a single source of truth that reduces redundancy, accelerates time-to-market, and improves usability.
4. Advocate for UX and accessibility best practices and principles, ensuring our design system supports global updates, scales efficiently, and delivers measurable impact on customer experience and business outcomes.
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ideate, promote adoption, provide guidance, and foster a culture of design excellence.
Qualifications:
6. A comprehensive portfolio featuring high-fidelity screens that present refined UI examples, clearly demonstrating visual hierarchy, thoughtful typography, effective color application, and accessibility considerations. The portfolio should articulate the design rationale, document improvements in UI quality over time, and place particular emphasis on work related to design systems and component libraries for B2B SaaS products.
7. Expert in Figma, with proven ability to create, maintain, and evolve design libraries.
8. Experience with design system workflows and tools (e.g., Storybook, design tokens).
9. Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across UX, Product, and Engineering.
10. Excellent time management with a proven ability to self-manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Experience with accessibility standards and UX best practices.
12. Experience making designs AI-ready is a bonus.
