Responsibilities
* Assist with preparing learning materials and delivering classroom activities
* Provide hands-on support and supervision as required
* Support pupils with their emotional and physical needs and develop their personal and social skills
* Support pupils with complex SEMH needs in an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment
* Contribute to a therapeutic approach to teaching and working with pupils with SEN/SEMH
* Collaborate with qualified teachers and instructors to deliver tailored education plans
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience of working in the independent SEMH sector and with pupils with SEN (highly desirable)
* Happy to adopt a therapeutic approach to teaching and working with SEN/SEMH pupils
* Previous experience with ASC (highly desirable)
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people
Role Details
* Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
* Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (includes a 5pm finish)
* Location: New Barn School (SEMH pupils aged 6-19; ~100 pupils across three sites)
