General Responsibilities:

Function: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining room, and associated equipment; assist in preparation, cooking, and service of meals while upholding hygiene and safety standards.
Key Duties:
* Secure cleaning materials when not in use.
* Clean all kitchen and dining areas including dry goods store, food prep zones, windows, ledges, fly screens, extract filters.
* Assist in food preparation and cooking under chefs’ direction.
* Support meal service to residents, including setting dining rooms.
* Use and care for kitchen equipment appropriately.
* Report equipment faults or breakdowns.
* Maintain hygiene and safety at all times.
* Report accidents/incidents promptly.
* Adhere to homes policies, procedures, dress code.
* Participate in staff induction and training; attend staff meetings when required.
* Assist in other areas as directed.
