An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Paediatric ward at Dr Grays Hospital for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 registered nurse with a strong clinical background and an interest in educating the workforce to join our dynamic forward thinking team. The Paediatric ward is an 8 bedded ward seeing a variety of specialties including Medical, Surgical and Day case patients with the potential for acutely ill children to be transferred to specialised units, offering learning and development opportunities.
Elgin, and the surrounding Moray County is a popular area to live in, with good transport links to Aberdeen and Inverness. This post involves shift work Sunday to Monday 365 days a year.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care to paediatric patients in a variety of specialties (Medical, Surgical, Day Case) in an 8-bed ward.
* Support and potentially facilitate transfer of acutely ill children to specialised units as required.
* Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in education and development of the workforce.
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and professional conduct in all interactions.
Qualifications and requirements
* Band 5 registered nurse with a strong clinical background.
* Interest in educating the workforce and contributing to ongoing learning within the team.
* Enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated, and with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to work shifts (Sunday to Monday, 365 days a year).
