Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Responsibilities
* Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
* Provide excellent patient care by welcoming patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
* Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling to optimise workflow within the practice.
* Sterilise dental instruments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operation of the practice, including managing inventory of supplies.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
* Basic knowledge of nursing principles is advantageous.
* Familiarity with IT systems related to dental practice management is beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and colleagues.
