Wheatfield Surgery is a medium sized practice with a friendly environment and 12,200 patients. We are a training practice and are part of a successful Primary Care Network. The role consists of front house reception and telephone services and admin duties such as: scanning medical documents onto patients notes, patient registrations, prescriptions, notes summarising.

We are looking for an individual with a previous experience of working in the NHS. Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable, however, a full training will be given.
A willingness to learn and progress with a 'can do' attitude is essential.
Candidates will need to be comfortable with working under pressure and have a flexible approach to tasks and be proactive in solving problems. They must be able to engage positively with patients and colleagues. Candidates will also be supported to use the latest technology. Responding to patient queries and liaising with the wider primary care team. Managing appointment requests and signposting patients to our own as well as external health services. Maintaining patient records and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Taking part in all mandatory training, team meetings, annual appraisal and continued education, learning and development. To be considered for this exciting role you must have: Reception or customer care experience is essential. The person must be an excellent communicator both spoken and written. Must have PC skills will be able to use basic Word, Excel and e-mail Must be able to work within processes/procedures.
Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues.

We are looking for a candidate to cover 25 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-1:30pm.
