Customer Experience
* Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
* Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
* Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
* Recommends items for sale and trade-up or related products to customers.
* Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing refunds, returns, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
* Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and recording of merchandise.
* Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medications, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists in scheduling and workflow management.
* Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality assurance.
* Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
* Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
* Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and reports discrepancies.
* Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
* Creates and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
* Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and inventory control for food and other items.
* Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
* Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pick-ups.
* Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
* Performs additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
* Obtains and maintains PTCB certification or relevant state registration.
* Participates in training, continuing education, and professional development to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
