Live out Housekeeper Job in Cotswolds
We are seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to join a welcoming family at their large 7-bedroom residence in Moreton-in-Marsh, Cotswolds. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain the home to the very highest standards. Flexibility, longevity, and a positive attitude are key qualities for this role. This position requires a Housekeeper who can work both autonomously and proactively, ensuring the home is always immaculate and well-organised. You will take full responsibility for day-to-day housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and general household organisation, as well as assisting with ad-hoc duties as required.
As this is a busy family home with three young children and one dog, the successful candidate must be child- and pet-friendly, able to adapt around family life, and bring a discreet yet hands-on approach.
Duties to include:
1. Daily cleaning of all rooms to the highest standard, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas
2. Changing bed linen, making beds, and ensuring bedrooms remain tidy and welcoming
3. Laundry and ironing, including care of fine fabrics and arranging dry cleaning
4. Wardrobe management and organisation
5. Stocking household and cleaning supplies
6. Care and cleaning of antiques, artworks, and delicate surfaces
7. Cupboard organisation and maintaining order in storage areas
8. Receiving and managing deliveries
9. Watering and caring for house plants
10. Reporting any maintenance issues promptly
11. Liaising with other household team members as needed
12. Creating and following cleaning schedules, seasonal checklists, and household manuals
13. Providing occasional pet care support
14. Flexible and supportive approach to household needs
Hours: 40 hours per week
Days: Monday – Friday (with occasional weekend support, agreed in advance)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000, depending on experience
