Role Summary
Are you dynamic, motivated, and passionate about providing high-quality care to your patients? We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our large, well-established, and friendly community team.
Tiverton and Cullompton offer excellent transport links, being close to the M5, Dartmoor, Exeter, and Bristol. The North Devon Link Road provides access to the North Devon Coast, Exmoor, and Blackdown Hills. Direct trains to London are available from Tiverton Parkway, taking less than 2 hours.
Our team manages a varied domiciliary caseload including post-op rehab, care home rehab, long-term condition management, falls prevention, and equipment assessments. Applicants should have strong moving and handling skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Our offices are shared with Community Nurses, Social Workers, and Urgent Community Response teams, promoting integrated working for patient benefit.

Professional Development
We support ongoing professional growth through supervision, CPD groups, training, and peer support. Our Champion’s Network connects you with experienced therapists. The successful candidate will supervise and develop Band 5 Occupational Therapists, students, and support staff. Strong IT skills are essential for service coordination and utilizing our online MyCare portal.
A valid driving license and access to a car are required for community visits.
Working Pattern
The role involves late shifts (until 6pm or 8pm) and weekends, with TOIL provided. The shifts support admission avoidance and timely hospital discharges to benefit the community.
