We are looking for our new cohort of Graduate Internal Auditors to join our Internal Audit team, based in our Glasgow office.
Following our biggest graduate intake yet, welcoming 16 new graduates this year, we are continuing to grow our team organically, demonstrating our commitment to developing talent from within and supporting the next generation of professionals. We are now looking for enthusiastic graduates to join our Internal Audit team, based in our Glasgow office.
Our Internal Audit team plays a vital role in strengthening our clients' ability to create, protect, and sustain value. We provide boards and management with independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, and insight, working across a broad and diverse client base.
As a Graduate Trainee, you will gain first-hand experience delivering audits for a wide range of organisations across the UK, including public sector bodies, social housing providers, charities, and education institutions. The scope of our work is varied and dynamic, one week you might be reviewing student wellbeing arrangements at a college, and the next, assessing gas safety processes at a housing association.
Working alongside our ambitious team of professionals, you will develop the full range of skills and knowledge required to contribute effectively to our services. You’ll receive full support through professional Internal Audit training (CIIA), giving you the opportunity to qualify while gaining invaluable practical experience.
With a client base spanning Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland, there may be occasional travel involved, but this is a role that offers true variety, the chance to build trusted relationships with clients, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact across multiple sectors.
As part of our growing team of 29 internal audit specialists, you will join a collaborative environment where growth is celebrated, professional development is prioritised, and individuals are encouraged to take ownership of their careers.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the planning and delivery of internal audit assignments (including testing, report writing, and attending meetings).
* Liaising with clients across the private, public, and charitable sectors.
* Taking ownership of allocated tasks and delivering them to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
* Working effectively as part of a collaborative team of 29 audit professionals.
* Any other appropriate tasks, as directed.
What we are looking for
We’re continuing to grow and evolve as a firm, and we’re looking for graduates who will bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a collaborative mindset to help us deliver for our clients.
* Working towards, or holding, an honours degree (minimum 2:1 preferred; Risk Management or related discipline advantageous).
* Strong academic background with excellent communication and analytical skills.
* A clear and positive communicator who can build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Organised, adaptable, and able to manage time effectively to balance exam study and client work.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
* Previous work experience within a professional office environment is beneficial but not essential.
Personal Qualities
* Proven organisational skills and ability to take ownership of tasks.
* Enthusiastic, results-driven, and cooperative.
* Positive and confident approach to work.
* Client-focused with a quality approach (first time, on time, every time).
* Strong team player with the ability to use initiative.
