1. Support the inpatient physical therapy team in assessing and assisting patients following elective surgical procedures.
2. Assist patients with mobility, rehabilitation exercises and recovery programmes under the guidance of a qualified physical therapist.
3. Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning by promoting patient independence and arranging appropriate equipment where required.
4. Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records in line with professional standards and hospital policies.
5. Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care, ensuring dignity, privacy and a positive patient experience at all times.
What we are looking for:
Essential
6. Hold an NVQ Level 3 or above related to healthcare
7. Have worked previously at a physiotherapy assistant
8. Have good literacy and numeracy skills
9. Be patient focused with a desire to facilitate a collaborative culture within the department
Desirable
10. Have worked as a technical instructor in a hospital setting.
