Hours: 5 hours every Sunday (times to be agreed)
Pay Rate
£13.25 per hour – Non-drivers
£14.24 per hour – Drivers with business insurance
Role Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable Outreach Support Worker to work alongside another staff member supporting a young person with additional needs. The role involves providing support in the community, enabling the young person to take part in activities they enjoy while promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with another support worker to provide consistent, person-centred support
Support the young person to access community-based activities and outings
Encourage independence, choice, and positive engagement
Ensure the young person's safety and wellbeing at all times
Build a positive, trusting, and professional relationship
Follow support plans, risk assessments, and agreed guidance
Communicate effectively with the other staff member and report any concerns
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies
Essential Requirements
Caring, patient, and dependable approach
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (paid or personal experience welcomed)
Ability to work well as part of a xlqdzyr team
Good communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing
Right to work in the UK
Desirable
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Business insurance (required for driver rate)
Experience in community support, care, or education
Training & Checks
Enhanced DBS check required
Training and ongoing support provided
